Stalking Alligators Silver Belt Buckle
I CONCEIVED THIS AS A FUNCTIONING WORK OF ART, AS SOMETHING THAT THE USER COULD TOUCH AND ENJOY EVERY DAY – APPRECIATING THE BALANCE, BEAUTY AND WHIMSY.
EACH IS CAST BY HAND IN BRONZE USING THE LOST WAX PROCESS. THEN THE PIECE IS CLEANED, POLISHED, AND PLATED IN ANTIQUE GOLD, ANTIQUE SILVER, BLACK RHODIUM OR ANTIQUE BRONZE. THE LETTER OPENERS AND SHOE HORNS ARE SET WITH SPARKLING CRYSTAL EYES. EACH PIECE TAKES MORE THAN THREE HOURS TO COMPLETE.
THESE WERE COMMISSIONED IN VERY LIMITED NUMBERS AND THE DESIGN WILL NEVER BE REPEATED.
Silver-Plated Bronze. For 1-inch Belt. This piece was made in Manhattan entirely by hand, and was cast, one at a time, using the lost wax process. Prince John Landrum Bryant Created and Designed this piece and Supervised its Fabrication.
