Authentic Lega stool, estimated at between 50-100 years old with four legs and a central pillar.
This stool would be or every day by adults even though it is small by western standards. At one
time there was probably a decorative cord or sting of beads running through the center of the
legs. The Lega tribe inhabits an area in north-east DRC and is noted for the Bwami society which
regulates social and political life. This stool probably not directly associated with the Bwami but
rather just for everyday use.
