Breakfast Room
The room has an unobstructed view of Rock Creek Park and, thereby, a front-row seat to enjoy Washington s four seasons. The glass and bronze table, by John Landrum Bryant, is an ocean motif with cut-out sea creatures in the legs and small, lost-wax cast, sterling silver sea creatures beneath the table s center.
Elaborate Mirror
An elaborate mirror image showing the Bertos bronzes on either side of a Japanese Meiji-period bronze. In the reflection, one of the pair of elaborately carved gilded wood in the Chinosierie style from Naples., mid-late 18th century.
Tiger Door Lever
John Landrum Bryant's signature tiger door lever hand cast in solid sterling silver with gold plating.
Chair and Ottoman
John Landrum Bryant designed the chair and ottoman with its elephant’s trunk motif. The early 19th century desk chair is by Jacob, Paris. The Russian chandelier is early 19th century.

Living Room Alternate View
This view of the living room shows the pair of early 19th century Russian chandeliers made for the Turkish market. The pair of early 19th century paintings are by the Roman artist, Giovanni Pannini. The four small late 18th century carved ivories in oval frames are representations of the Four Continents. Reflected in the late 19th century Italian mirror are a pair of late 17th century Venetian bronzes by Bertos.
Living Room
The walls are finished in a highly polished and waxed Venetian stucco. Burnished gold leaf accents the plaster crown molding. The pair of tables covered in hand -embroidered brocade display part of a collection of small Renaissance Italian bronzes, many of which are promised gifts to the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. The pair of table lamps are made from a pair of late 15th century silvered tin and gilt candlesticks. On the far wall, two early 19th century Russian chairs frame a late 18th century Venetian console table. The gilt and taupe arm chair is part of a set of early 19th century Roman furniture. The carpet is an Art Deco Aubusson.
Entrance Hall
The walls are upholstered in a red silk which sets off part of a collection of French bronze animal sculptures. Two English regency chairs and an English Egyptian revival mirror harmonize with the vintage black and white marble floor. In a deliberate shift in form and period, I created a chandelier with a single bronze circle and a hand-blown glass center. The mahogany front door, visible in the left picture, feature a bronze, satyr’s face door knocker.
Dining Room
Here is a mixture of periods, materials and origins. The Cuban mahogany expandable dining table is a rare 18th century single pedestal type by Jacob, Paris. The painted chairs are early 19th century made in Lucca, Italy. The chandelier is early 19th century from Chateau Fontainebleau outside of Paris. The two bronze putti holding candelabra graced a stairway in a late nineteenth century Rothschild home in France. The gilded carved wood console table is late 18th century Venetian.
Bedroom Alternate View
The early 19th century is featured here with a French guerdon, a large, rare English convex mirror and a Russian candlestick used as a lamp.
Bed Room
The platform bed was made in Lucca, Italy, for Elisa, the sister of Napoleon I. In counterpoint to it is John Landrum Bryant's bronze cantilevered bedside table.
