Authentic Yaka male circumcision/initiation helmet mask. The Yaka tribe is located in the
Kwango river region in western DR Congo. Danced for circumcision and initiation ceremony
called Mukhanda which are mandatory for all young men and takes place as the culmination of
their period of isolation from the larger community during the moth long period of initiation.
They are colorful and fairly light weight despite their size.
